We commit ourselves to work in penitence and faith for reconciliation between nations and that all people together live in freedom, justice and peace. "ORDER STANDARDS"
"STAND AT EASE"
HYMN
O God, our help in ages past,
our hope for years to come,
our shelter from the stormy blast,
and our eternal home.
Beneath the shadow of thy throne,
Thy saints have dwelt secure;
sufficient is thine arm alone,
and our defence is sure.
Before the hills in order stood,
or earth received her frame,
from everlasting, thou art God,
to endless years the same.
A thousand ages, in thy sight,
are like an evening gone;
short as the watch that ends the night,
before the rising sun.
Time, like an ever rolling stream,
bears all our years away;
they fly forgotten, as a dream
dies at the opening day.
O God, our help in ages past,
our hope for years to come;
be thou our guide while troubles last,
and our eternal home.
LISTEN FOR THE WORD FROM GOD
HEAR THE WORDS FROM THE NEW TESTAMENT
When Jesus saw the crowds he went up the mountain and.
after He sat down. His disciples came to Him. Then He began
to speak to them, saying:
Blessed are the poor in spirit For theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven Blessed are those who mourn For they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek For they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness For they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful For they will receive mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart For thev will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are prosecuted for righteousness sake for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in Heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
(Matthew 5 v 1-12) 5

HYMN
Eternal Father, strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who bidd'st the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;
Oh. hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea.
O Christ! Whose voice the waters heard
And hushed their raging at Thy word,
Who walked'st on the foaming deep,
And calm amidst the storm didst sleep;
Oh. hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea.
O Holy Spirit! Who didst brood
Upon the waters dark and rude,
And bid the angry tumult cease,
And give, for wild confusion, peace;
Oh. hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea
O Trinity of love and power!
Our brethren shield in danger's hour;
From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
Protect them wheresoe'er they go;
Thus evermore shall rise to Thee
Glad hymns of praise from land and sea.
