to the people of Sussex

I’ll get things done and make things happen.

I’ll make Sussex safer with more uniformed officers patrolling on foot

I’ll put people at the centre of every decision I make.

I’ll work constructively with anyone sensible, right across the political spectrum.

I’ll make Sussex work for everyone, with a focus on kids and the older generation.

I’ll be sensible and prudent with the public purse.

There will be no vanity projects or wasteful spending.

No second jobs, consultancy or paid directorships for me - this role will get 100% of my energy.

I’ll provide constant public consultation and feedback.

Martin for Mayor

The new Mayor of Sussex will serve as the democratically elected leader of a Mayoral Combined County Authority covering East Sussex, West Sussex, as well as Brighton & Hove, with responsibility for transport, housing, economic growth, skills, public safety and policing. The Mayor will represent and promote Sussex nationally and internationally and serve as the chair of meetings of the new combined authority.
