I’ll fight for more uniformed police officers patrolling on foot in our towns, cities and villages. I’ll make sure our rural communities aren’t sidelined. Beating the scourge of knife crime, drug dealing, shoplifting, and anti-social behaviour needs to be the police’s top priority.
I won’t rest until I make Sussex a safer place.

I’ll support rural tourism, agribusinesses, and all measures that protect the natural environment with passion. I want a greener, healthier Sussex, with a lower carbon footprint, that we can all enjoy and prosper from.
I acknowledge that Sussex is, at heart, a rural county, and countryside issues need to be at the forefront of mayoral policy. And I guarantee that from day one, I’ll be confronting water company bosses to demand they stop polluting our rivers, streams and the sea.
This is non-negotiable, and I won’t accept excuses or further delay.
BUSINESS
Investment & development
I established a highly successful company in Sussex, generating tens of millions of pounds in revenue each year and employing hundreds of people. I’ll utilise my solid business experience to encourage and facilitate investment, growth, and new job creation in Sussex.
I’ll work with educators to make sure our workforce has access to the necessary skills and training they need. Let’s work together to make Sussex the #1 choice for start-ups and investment with the best work/life balance in the UK.
AFFORDABLE
housing for Sussex
I’ll introduce proactive ideas to help identify potential development sites, whilst being sensitive to the needs of the environment and existing communities.
We need more development, but only in the right places, with the appropriate infrastructure to support it.
VOLUNTEERING
& Community
There’s no escaping the fact that money’s tight right now – that’s why I want to mobilise the talent, experience and passion of people across Sussex in important volunteering roles. Together, we can establish youth clubs and create spaces where older people can socialise.
How about farmers’ markets to bridge the gap between rural and urban areas, while reducing the carbon footprint of the food we eat?
Let’s reduce street homelessness to negligible levels, like we did during the pandemic. We can keep our libraries open when they’re in danger of closure, if there’s a passion to make it happen. I want to harness the power of community to make Sussex a more engaged and fulfilling place to live.
